The infamous Brexit repeatedly postponed and again questioned certainly bring some changes in the industrial and probably also social level. But the media rode an incorrect message, just to make the news and to be read with last-minute revelations or sensational announcements from this or that character.
Result, as well as a general confusion induced on an articulated and complex process, it was and still is, a disorientation on the part of businesses and especially of SMEs of value, that on the UK market they can have a lot of satisfactions from a commercial point of view.
Without going into the merits of our considerations as professionals and as a reality active for many years in London and in the UK, therefore able to see and feel the situation from the inside, we refer to one of the many projects that keep a completed market alive – inevitably and always – from companies and brands from all over the world, who continue to invest and maintain their commercial position in the UK.
The New West End Company launches a renovation and reorganization program for one of the most vibrant commercial areas in the world, Oxford Street. And it does so with a plan from ben 3 billions of pounds which will give rise to a radical transformation of the area made from over 300 stores, combinando retail, spaces for free time, cultural areas and community spaces, or new public spaces in the Marble Arch and Oxford Circus areas.
“The new Oxford Street - reads on Drapers - will join catering, leisure and experiential spaces to the retail offer, thanks also to the new Elizabeth Line underground line that from 2021 will make Oxford St. "The most connected shopping district in the world", as it is connected with Heathrow airport in just 30 minutes.
Moreover, the project involves the transformation of the area into a context “zero emission”, transforming everything into an area with circulation exclusively for ecological buses and commercial vehicles and with a maximum speed of 20 mph.
An ambitious plan and designed to do once again “trend” globally, precisely because the market is a set of socio-economic and financial dynamics that will not end for one (eventual) variation in the political-administrative structure of a country with great vision and great determination.
